SHOOTING IN CONSTRUCTION PHASE
Mikel Bowman, Interior Designer
Madero 333

Shooting a project while in “obra negra”, or in the raw construction phase, can be interesting. At Madero 333, the elevator was not yet installed, so it involved a climb up four flights of stairs open on the sides with wires, cables and other detritus hampering the ascent. But what a space once we arrived. Open, the large main room has almost an equally large terrace with a view facing south. Mikel Bowman, a designer whose work I already know (Casa Cubo, also on this page) is working with the owners to create a living space above as well as the guest quarters below. As the work continues, I will post updates….this was just the beginning.
